After serving as a surgeon in the US Army and returning to civilian life, Doc Connors devoted his life to creating a serum to regenerate lost limbs. Using DNA from reptiles, Connors created this serum, then tested it on himself... certain of it success. Unfortuantely, in doing so, he turned himself into The Lizard.
